While not the best weather for spectators, it was probably a great day for the runners.  That nip in the air and a few sprinkles now and then eliminated the possibility of heat exhaustion!  But before I go any further, I must apologize to everyone.  Not only did I leave my voice at home (mild case of laryngitis), but I also left my memory card at home!  However, my battery was fully charged!  But obviously, not my brain!  So these pics came from my phone, which don't provide the best quality, but it's better than nothing, right?  If there are any parents who took photos, please feel free to forward them to me!

We only ran in two races today: The boys varsity and the open race.  The boys went first...

NATE & AARON WEREN'T FAR BEHIND

 
LUIS FINISHED IN 8TH PLACE OVERALL, EARNING HIMSELF A MEDAL, WITH A TIME OF17:13.2, WHICH  IS 1 MINUTE AND 32 SECONDS FASTER THAN LAST YEAR'S RACE HERE.
 JACK WAS INJURED DURING THIS RACE LAST YEAR, BUT MADE UP FOR IT THIS YEAR BY FINISHING 2ND FOR THE TEAM (22ND OVERALL) IN A TIME OF 17:43

JULIO WAS RIGHT BEHIND JACK, FINISHING IN 17:48, WHICH IS 1 MINUTE AND 46 SECONDS FASTER THAN LAST YEAR'S RACE ON THIS COURSE.


JAYLIN WAS NEXT FOR THE TEAM, COMPLETING THE COURSE IN 19:16.
AARON CROSSED THE FINISH LINE IN 20:09, WHICH IS 1 MINUTE AND 1 SECOND FASTER THAN LAST YEAR AT ICCP.

NATE FINISHED IN 20:52.
 As a team, the boys were 5th out of 9 teams total.  Not bad at all

Next up came the Open Race.  We had five runners in this race of 94 boys and 79 girls.
This was the first time for all 5 of them to run this course.








 

   
QUANG FINISHED THE RACE IN 21:58.
RAFAEL, JUST NEWLY ADDED TO THE TEAM,  COMPLETED THE COURSE IN 23:07.  WELCOME, RAFAEL!

LUKE CROSSED THE LINE IN 23:10.



XAVIER FINISHED IN 24:26.


ADELAIDE'S TIME WAS 27:36.
