The Cross Country banquet is always a bittersweet time. I truly believe that runners bond more than any other sport because there is a sort of love/hate relationship with the sport itself, but somehow struggling through it together draws the team closer together.  I really felt the closeness this year more than others.  We've never had so many impromptu testimonials and it was so sweet to be a part of it.  There was a lot of laughter, but also a sadness with the acknowledgement that this is the end of the season.  Until next year, of course!  But with the leaving of the seniors and the incoming of the freshmen, each year's team has its own personality and somehow it is never experienced the same way.  But now it's time to leave the words behind and enjoy the final pics of the evening!

After enjoying the salad and pizza, the fun begins with Coach Goffrons awards.  Everyone got a chance to be honored and/or roasted.

It's always sad to end the season, but we know it will be here again before we know it.  God's blessings on the seniors; they will be missed greatly.  And for the rest of you, we expect you to keep our Regional Championship pattern going!!!
