SUNDOWN MEADOWS
This was Riverside-Brookfield's annual invitational. Somehow they managed to arrange a nearly perfect day for a cross country meet weather-wise: cool and comfortable. It threatened rain at one point, and there was a need for an umbrella as the varsity girls started their race, but soon after the rain stopped and the temperature cooled down. Walther did a good job overall, earning four medals total. The varsity boys placed 7th out of 10 teams and the girls were tied for 4th. Not bad considering most of the teams were from 2A or 3A schools. It was our first official three mile race for the year. Hats off to the freshman. You made it!
