NILES WEST

Today was not about getting the best time or finishing at the front of the crowd.  It was just about finishing.  Surviving.  Surviving the heat, humidity, and the sun that beat down on the runners unmercifully.  But everyone gave it their best, even while feeling their worst.
Way to keep on going, Broncos!

No times or stats today, just pics.
Enjoy!

Frosh boys waiting for the beginning of their race.  Things were a little different today.  There were six heats in total, each separated by only 10-15 minutes.  By the end of the meet, 6 different groups had run in less than 2 hours.

James, above, and Eric, below, representing the Frosh boys in the first race.

Now it's time for Tamron (above) and Michaela (below) to run with the Frosh Girls.

Ready, set...

Steven finished for Walther by running with the Sophomore Boys.
Words of encouragement from the Coach.

Final prayer ("Thank you that we all survived!")

"Go Broncos!!!"

Next meet: Sundown Meadows
(hosted by Riverside-Brookfield)
on Friday, September 7 (probably at 4:30, but Coach Goffron will confirm and send out more details as the time gets closer.).
For those of you who don't know, Sundown Meadows is in LaGrange, on LaGrange Road near 67th, just north of I-55, on the west side of the street.
Hope to see you there!
