Guerin Prep
Conference Preview
It was another beautiful day for a meet. However, I think this course ranks up there with the top 3 most confusing courses! It was a nice spectator-friendly course, for sure, but a little confusing for some of the runners (thankfully, not ours!). Since this was more like a "practice" conference meet, there were no awards, which is too bad because we may have earned a few! Enjoy!

This was the first time we've ever run at this course. |

Jogging the course pre-competition. |
Girls Race:
Tamron has consistently been finishing in the top half at each race. Today she was 22nd out of 57, completing the course in 24:35, one second faster than last weekend's race. She was one of only four runners on our team that cut their time today. (I think the rest of the team hit a mid-week slump!!) |
Claudia crossed the finish line in 27:45. This was a little slower than last Saturday, but she is still consistently out-performing herself in a significant way compared to last year. Way to go! |
Boys Race:
An interesting group of fellows!!!! |
Jaylin finished in 11th place overall. His time was 18:07. This is a PR for this year, cutting 23 seconds off of his time from Saturday. Woo hoo!!! |
Mitch had a strong kick at the end, finishing in 12th with a time of 18:17. Great effort! |
Kobe was 3rd for the team, finishing in 24th place overall, with a time of 19:01. You always look like you're smiling, Kobe! |
Look at that grit and determination! Jose moved up to finish 4th for the team, finishing in 26th place in 19:04, just 3 seconds behind Kobe. Jose cut 17 seconds off of his time from Saturday. Superb!! |
In spite of not feeling his best today, David kept his spot in the the top 5, finishing behind Jose in 27th place with a time of 19:16. |
James looks determined as he sprints toward the finish line, crossing it in 20:55. |
Steven was close behind James, finishing in 21:01. |
Julio pushed through hip pain to complete the course in 21:23. |
Daniel pushed hard at the end to finish his race in 27:32. |
Traivon and Xavier stuck it out together today for the whole race. |
Traivon finished in 28:43... |
...and so did Xavier! (Jaylin---notice the hand---was instrumental in ordering Xavier to catch up to Traivon at the finish line...and he did!) |
Next meet is Friday
at Riverside-Brookfield!
